Hills Holdings
Hills Industries was established in 1945 to manufacture the famous clothes hoist and quickly expanded into other laundry products. In 1959, the company introduced television repair and antenna services, and later moved into radio electronics manufacturing. It listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1962. Over time, Hills Industires has made a number of acquisitions to diversify its product range, generally in businesses involving metal fabrication.
In 2011, the organisation made a major change to its image and structure, and today Hills Holdings is fundamentally an investment company identifying opportunities in high growth markets and working hand in hand with recognised companies to realise their growth potential.
We have come a long way since the development of that great Aussie backyard icon, the Hills Hoist. In fact, it’s the ingenuity of such inventions that has turned Hills Holdings into an innovator of practical solutions for both the residential and commercial environments. Today Hills Holdings’ entrepreneurial flair extends far beyond the backyard.
Our portfolio of businesses now includes some of the most successful Australian companies such as Fielders, Korvest, Orrcon, Bailey, Digitec, Digital Alarm Supplies and Opticomm. And our products and solutions have been incorporated into some of the most globally recognised projects in Australia including ANZ Stadium, Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, the Darwin Convention Centre, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the new Westfield Sydney Shopping Centre at Centre Point.
