Shopping Centres

OptiComm is a wholesale carrier and our networks support a wide range of services from leading Retail Service Providers. We have an established track record with shopping centres including the prestigious Westfield Sydney.
The key questions for the developer of a shopping centre are:
- When will the development actually get connected?
- What rework or additions of work do we have to include to get connected?
- Who is carrying out and managing the installation?
- Who is doing all the appropriate design works?
- How much extra is this going to cost?
- Will it all this happen in time for your development?
- Will the network be able to handle all my building services as well as retailers service?
If you are struggling to get answers to any of these questions, OptiComm is available with a proven solution that can be accurately costed and deployed in time for your development. OptiComm can offer two types of solutions, one or both will be applicable to your needs.
Solution 1 – Fibre to the Retailer
We deploy a Fibre to the Retailer solution where the typical NBN services of telephone and data are provided, but in addition its also delivers a variety of video and TV services over the same network saving on the cost of a secondary MATV network. This solution is under our business class, wholesale only, business model where each retailer will have a choice of telecommunications carrier for their services.
The centre is connected to the OptiComm Point of Interconnect where we provide access to leading service providers, giving choice of service to the retailers. Internet/data services are offered at 25mbs, 50mbs or 100mbs by the services providers. Additional services are optional such as courtesy phone, intercoms, access control, alarm management, energy management and CCTV are also available to retailers.
Solution 2 – Fibre for the Building Services
Over the same FTTP network that delivers services to the retailers, OptiComm can transport the data for all building services such as CCTV, Security, access control, digital signage, traffic management, Hot-Spot WiFi, environmental Monitoring, courtesy phones, emergency lift phones and alarms under OptiComm’s managed services business model. The network is monitored and maintained 24x7 to ensure all building services are available.
