Oran Park Raceway was an iconic Sydney motor racing circuit nestled in the dairy farming districts around Narellan in South Western Sydney.

- Housing for 50,000 residents
- Approximately18 hectares of employment land
- A 50,000 square metre Town Centre as well as two Neighbourhood Centres
- 36 kilometres of walking tracks and cycleways
- 148 hectares of open green space
Oran Park Town has attracted first homebuyers from all over Sydney and the initial land releases around the Oran Park Town Centre have been in high demand, with the first residents moving into their new homes in early 2011.
Opticomm is an Australian Government policy compliant wholesale Carrier that delivers Telecommunications services over Optical Fibre networks to both Master Planned Communities (MPC) and Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) residential and commercial developments.
Opticomm was engaged to provide Telecommunications services into the Oran Park precinct during 2008 and the network has been expanding in line with the development front ever since.
In 2009, Opticomm was selected by the National Broadband Network (nbn™) to roll out the initial stages of the network in Tasmania. Today, Opticomm is now the largest independent provider of broadband infrastructure with over with over 250,000 dwellings contracted, more than 85,000 dwellings passed and over 65,000 dwellings connected.

Opticomm networks fully comply with the amendments to Federal Telecommunications Act that were required to facilitate the Government’s national broadband network regulatory framework.
Opticomm is engaged with most major developers including Lend Lease, Frasers Property, Sekisui House, Australand, Mirvac, Stockland, Greenfields Development/Urban Growth NSW, CIC, LMC, MAB, Villawood, Dart West, Investa, Rawson Communities, Villa World, Citimark, Moremac Property Group, Dennis Family Homes, Meriton and many others.
At Oran Park, Opticomm offer much more than superfast Broadband and Telephone services. By offering services such as FOXTEL and Free-to-Air Television across the Opticomm Optical Fibre Network the community can take advantage of the visual benefits of an antenna-free estate as well as public access Wi-Fi in community areas.
In Master-planned communities such as Oran Park, Opticomm typically builds a low-impact headworks facility, typically a roadside cabinet located in a reserve.
Opticomm designs and maintains Pit & Pipe infrastructure and is compliant with the Communications Alliance guideline for Pit & Pipe construction (G645:2011) to work within the spatial constraints of the verge. Opticomm builds, owns and operates the Fibre-to-the-Premises network. To minimise the visual impact at Oran Park, Opticomm located the headworks with the town centre buildings in the heart of the precinct.
Network construction commenced in August 2009 in the Stage 1Display Village and the Headworks were provisioned in February 2010, closely followed by the connection of the first homes.
Opticomm offers support across network operations, project management and marketing including a Melbourne based Network Operations and Call Centre, Project Manager assigned to each project, Local technicians and in-house Pit & Pipe and network designers.
Since establishing the network at Oran Park, Opticomm has connected other communities within the Government’s South West Priority Growth Area including Gregory Hills, The Hermitage and Gledswood Hills. Today, the Opticomm network has passed over 8,000 homes in south west Sydney.
